Explore the city of Dunedin with a knowledgeable tour guide who takes you to points of interest where you can stop and have a look around.
This tour commences at 9:45am from the Visitor Terminal Building on the wharf. If the cruise ship is arriving late, the tour time will be automatically adjusted to start 45 minutes after the ship arrival.
Your first stop will be at Signal Hill Road. Situated 400 meters above sea-level, this is one of the best lookouts in Dunedin. The tour then takes you to the Baldwin Street, which is the steepest Residential Street in the world according to the Guinness book of records.
Our next destination is University of Otago. join your guide for a short 1 minute walk to see the oldest university in New Zealand – an architectural masterpiece.
Next we visit the gardens of Olveston Homestead. Visiting Olveston is like stepping back in time, The tour guides are very knowledgeable and make the house come alive again with the stories they tell about the original occupants. There is also time to visit the magnificent gift shop inside the house.
After that, the tour takes you to the Octagon, where you can spent 1 hour your own. This is Dunedin’s city center, where you can see many great gift shops, banks money machines, cafes, bars and restaurants as well as some stunning heritage buildings.
